Jaeger Lecoultre 2015 SIHH: Master Calendar Meteorite in stainless steel or rose gold.Live!

 By: amanico : January 21st, 2015-02:16
I already reviewed this watch here: I was impatient to see the rose gold and the stainless steel version in the real, to say all, as I found and still find the idea to use a meteorite dial very inspired on a triple calendar moonphase watch. Why inspired?...

One of the most appealing watch from SIHH2015,

at least for me, of course! My preference is definitely for the clear dial version (could be the real color of the material, polished and then treated with acid to bring out the structure), and with the pointer of the date in blue and not red as in the fi...

This watch has allure.....

......2015 will be a moon phase year for me and the steel version here is one that I will need to think a lot about. I agree with you on the meteorite finish......it gives it something.

There is something fascinating with the moon, indeed.

But I am always tired to set the exact moonphase... I may have a solution, on which JLC worked, lately. I will tell you more about that, but it is a smart application they are still improving. Best, Nicolas

Interesting....

....like you, I find the setting of the moon a pain....which is probably why I would hunt for just one or two pieces.

I really like the Meteorite dial! :)

Q? Do you know if JLC will go for mixed blue/red (as in the first shot) or all blue (as in the last shot)? Thank you for sharing, my friend! Best Blomman

I didn't answer to Massi on that detail, but I will answer to both of you.

The definitive version is on the last picture: All blue! Best, Nicolas

Hmmh.. This really could be my piece of cake for this year !.. Promising, and personally..

 By: hs111 : January 21st, 2015-06:54
.. I would/will go for the clear grey, and yes - liking the blue date pointer ; For me a very interesting modern incarnation as a heir of my Master Moon, but with that "stellar" touch ! If this Q is allowed here : Is there anything known about the suggest...

It will not be a LE. As for price ranges, I don't know for the moment.

But I will keep you updated as soon as I have this information. Best, HS. Nicolas

The only thing I'd like to see...

 By: watchme : January 21st, 2015-08:37
is the steel version on a Navy strap, to enhance the moonphase, and the rose on a gray strap to match the meteorite. -Dean

Beautiful shots!!! Nicolas.

I love these watches in all the different models, but... I personally in the steel version had changed the color and material of the moon and stars, in my opinion. The best Juan

Great special iteration of the Master Calendar

 By: vitalsigns : January 21st, 2015-10:02
I felt the original Master Calendar was a bit misproportioned, with the main problem being the placement of the day and month apertures being too far apart and perhaps a bit too small (and the crown being too diminutive relative to the case size and thick...

MUST...HAVE...THIS...JLC!!!!

Hmmmm...I always like SS but the darker dial contrasting the RG. Appreciate the live pics, makes a big difference to see from a personal point of view versus press pics. -MW

Really original!

Great shots! Contrast of indices to face looks better on the gold than the steel. Both l

look great, although I woulld like more contrast on steel. As often happens, the pics the purists take are better than those commissioned by the house.

Here is my wristshot

A watch I like especially in PG. Fx ...

Wow the rose gold / dark grey dial combo is killer!

 By: NT931 : January 21st, 2015-18:49
truly beautiful! Nico, I echo your point about 39mm case size - I think 39mm is just nice for most wrists, with max of 40mm.

Thanks, Fx! [nt]

Seeing the wrist-shot makes me think....

 By: watchme : January 23rd, 2015-05:45
that the day/month apertures should be in a gray or black with white font, for more subtlety. -Dean

Thank you for these lovely pictures Nicolas.....

I really like the Meteorite dial for its rich and somehow "mystical" texture and been from a natural element each dial will be "uniquely individual"! As my brain seems to be working "up side down" or "inside out", even though the dial is made from a Meteo...
