I really liked this watch especially in white metal, then I tried it on in Singapore few months back and it didn't do it. Don't know, perhaps it felt too big on the wrist, perhaps the "dial" feel too small? Anyway it is a interesting watch. Kind regards, ...

I know it win;t quite apple for apple but its this YG version and the YG Trad Tourbi that are my favorite. I'm surprised you don;t have one of these in your collection (or at least that's what I think).

I wonder.....

Why they made such a small dial for such a big watch! Lol! That is my favorite Breguet. J.

The answer ...

 By: AndrewD : July 12th, 2012-18:49
... is to be faithful to the proportions of the original A.L. Beguet pieces in this style. And I love how the 'dial' is the same size (14mm) as the central barrel. The layout and internal proportions of the 7027 La Tradition are perfect to my eyes. ...

Great pics of the original Andrew

I'm sizing up a move for a 7027 but in WG which looked better in the metal and on the wrist than on the net but I'm also thinking whether to follow YG as per the original but I'm starting to have a tad too many colored metal pieces...

Very different characters ...

... and either the YG or WG 7027 are excellent choices. The YG feels more traditional and true to the original (down to the level of Manufacture Breguet matching the gold hue of the original watches - more warm and 'rosy' than modern YG). The WG feels mor...

Great observations and thanks for sharing Andrew

I'm still pondering and leanign towards the WG. Let's see what happens by the end of the day.

Just made

You were hard to convince!

Since the Ref. 7027 was released 7 years ago there has really not been much else like it. The GO PanoInverse comes close, but still doesn't draw on the history that Breguet can. Across the room you can't mistake this watch for anything else; the coin edge...

Its been on my mind off and on since I got into watches Andrew but just never got round to it. This came to my attention mid this week and when a fair deal appeared possible, I had to move on it.

Lovely!

Congratulations on this striking piece! A good pal of mine just bought the 40mm WG version with the anthracite face, which is also very clean looking. Definitely on my list -- in the meantime I will live vicariously through you! Best, Gary

I pondered for a while about the YG

 By: ArthurSG : July 18th, 2012-20:08
and felt that the WG did not look that good in pics but in the metal, the WG is actually very nice. ALso, in my small stable, I have a few YG pieces already and also because the WG is less obvious than the YG, I thought the WG would be better for work wea...

my belated congratulations :-)

it's turning out to be one of the most accurate watches in my entire collection. I think over the past month, it's still within less than a minute off.

In a bizarre twist ....

... the La Tradition has one of the more difficult dials to read with any accuracy, however, my example remains spot on for weeks at a time. Even more impressive is that it maintains this accuracy both on and off the wrist and both dial up and crown up (t...

function for setting time as well for watch where I am sure accuracy was not the primary motivation. :-)

I always wondered ...

... where Breguet were going to go with that basic movement. The 'hacking' movement is very interesting on such a watch. I just didn't think I would have to wait so many years before there were more complications in the Tradition line. A

Thanks a lot Gary for the very nice pictures!
