Breguet Concert in Madrid

The concert was performed by the Freixenet orchestra of the Escuela Superior de Música Reina and led by the celebrated musician and conductor, Jordi Savall.
The first part of the concert featured two superb works from the late 17th and early 18th centuries, Henry Purcell’s « The Fairy Queen » and the « Alcione » suite of airs, by Marin Marais.
The latter half of the concert comprised two 18th-century works, Bach’s Third Brandenburg Concerto and the « Musica notturna delle strade di Madrid » by Luigi Boccherini.
