Hi Baxter,

I just read the thread... and as a former Breguet lover.... I say forget Breguet .

I, like you enjoyed Rolex then, went to Breguet.... big Mistake.

Good looking watch. Good histroy and heritage..... but not so good for me as an average user.

I have two out of two Breguets in for warranty repair... one has been in twice this year ... must be about 7 months absent so far.... the other .... I can't be bothered looking up the invoice but also in for some months.

I have three Rolex over the last 17 years.... and never a problem. They are all still in the family and being used.

I could go on about Breguet, but it would be like flogging a dead horse.

However as you asked for an opinions based on experience ..... my opinion is that Breguet are making watches to reflect the designs of time gone by.... as opposed to say Rolex that are making watches based on long time reliability.

What is really bad is, when a problem arises.... Breguet are months and months behind in their repair service.

What Anthony says is very true.... any watch can give a problem from day one.... I have been there as well... but while some companies can get off their butt and fix a problem in 10 days... Breguet do not have this track record.

Even if their watches are great.... and I am unlucky... Breguet are a failure, in that they do not have the ability to provide reasonable service.... and any research of this site will show delays of up to 10 months.

Save yourself heartache.... and buy another Rolex.
